Tips:

  • Even the best connecting system cannot offset poor quality of some timber. Please ensure that the timber is dry; particularly, avoid timber from the core and spiral-grained boards.
  • Recommended length of the boards: maximum 3 m (9.8 ft.).
  • Recommended for spacing no smaller than 7 mm between the boards and the joists
  • You may pre-drill, particularly with hardwoods, such as oak.
  • Follow the installation instructions of your timber supplier.

Advantages     

Allows swelling and shrinkage, no visible screws from the first to the last board, and protects the joist from moisture.

Processing

Pre-drill with a template (recommended for hardwoods), screw and plug together, and adapt screw length to the material thickness.

QUATRO 65 is installed easily and concealed from the first to the last board.

Note: If the joint width is more than 7 mm, keep the spacing of 31.5 mm smaller, for example, joint width 12 mm => spacing 27 mm.

Hint: QUATRO 65 can also be used as a spacer to maintain joint widths (4.5 or 9 mm).

Installing instructions: A minimum of 7 mm joint spacing from 24 mm plank thickness on European and Siberian larch for 90-120 mm recommended board widths.* Follow the installation instructions of the timber supplier.
