MEGANT® S, the latest extension to the MEGANT® connectors‘ family, has been designed for constructions which require the transmission of high loads, up to 950 kN.

Thanks to its streamlined, ingenious design, it allows the secondary beam to bend under load, avoiding any problems with the torsion spring stiffness. The MEGANT® S connector is an ideal solution for long
glue laminated beam connections.

MEGANT® S is made up of two overlapping connection plates and can be used to fix timber beams to all usual construction materials:

• Wood to wood connections
  • Solid structure timber (softwood or hardwood)
  • Glued laminated timber (softwood or hardwood)
  • Laminated veneer lumber (Kerto / BauBuche)
• Wood to steel connections
• Wood to concrete connections
