We have created a free Excel-based dimensioning tool for main-to-secondary beam connections using RICON® Stainless Steel / RICON® /RICON® S connectors, as well as a dimensioning tool for MEGANT® for main-to-secondary beam and secondary beam-to-column connections. We are making these available to you free of charge for download under the following conditions.

Important Usage Information

Our new dimensioning tool for MEGANT® for main-to-secondary beam and secondary beam-to-column connections is now available in German (DE), English (EN), French (FR), and Spanish (ES). To use it correctly, it is absolutely necessary to enable macros in Excel. Macros are essential for the full functionality of the tools.

Step-by-Step Guide

Please follow these instructions in the order given after you have downloaded the file:

Download and Save: Download the desired Excel tool from the website and save the .xltm file to your hard drive.
Adjust File Properties: Before you open the file, right-click on it and select „Properties“.
Security Settings: In the „General“ tab, you will find the „Unblock“ option at the bottom of the „Security“ section. Check the box there, click „Apply“, and then „OK“.
Open and Save the File Again: Now, open the Excel file. Then, please save it under a new name to ensure that all settings have been correctly applied and that the program runs smoothly.

The current program is available to use free of charge for KNAPP GmbH customers until revoked at any time. You pledge to use the program exclusively and solely for the purposes of your company. We reserve the right to change or modify the program at any time; however, we shall not be obliged to further develop or improve the program. You pledge not to reproduce the program, not to change it and not to pass it on to third parties.

The program is merely a working aid and therefore only offers a calculation basis, especially for static components; it cannot replace a static verification of the calculated results by an authorized professional. You therefore pledge, when using this program, either to have a static verification of the calculated results carried out by an authorized professional, and/or to inform those third parties to whom the calculation results are handed over that a static verification has not been carried out.

We are entitled to revoke the permission to use at any time without giving reasons. In the event of such revocation, you pledge to refrain from using the program immediately and to destroy both, the program itself and any copies or duplicates made (inadmissibly or exceptionally permitted by us on the basis of separate permission), as well as to state in a binding manner that further use, in whatever form, will no longer take place.

We shall, therefore, not be liable for any damages resulting from the use of the program (e.g. due to any program errors etc.) and any liability for direct or indirect damages resulting from the use of the program (e.g. damage to other software, damage from loss of use etc.) is excluded.

Austrian law shall apply exclusively, excluding the conflict-of-law rules of international private law. For all disputes arising from or in connection with the provision of this program, the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent court in 3300 Amstetten, Austria is agreed upon.
